Tiny Day Dreams – A Series

“Tiny Day Dreams” is a series of Fluxus Event Scores inspired by the work of Yoko Ono and other impactful artists that were able to use words to craft visual experiences for audiences. The goal of this series is to encourage the imagination and explore the relationship between language and vision by crafting imagery that varies in interpretation from person to person. The perceptions of these pieces are more individual. By not having a physical image to decipher meaning from, the work allows for viewers to visualize these events in their own way. These pieces form a structure of thought that serves as a starting point for the different possibilities for the work that the imagination can create. Ultimately each event score challenges the boundaries of what art could be. These pieces fall into the category of multimedia by urging viewers to consider performance in their analysis of the work. The relationship between word and image is expanded by the possibilities created through these event scores as an art form. They hold power in shifting perspective and overall experience for viewers.
